I just hope we can still play our drinking game to it. It looks more serious than the camp lolz factories that were SG-1 and Atlantis, but fuck me it looks incrediable!

sorry jay I gotta disagree, I mean what the fuck is with the teen kids running around, and the uber seriousness? it just doesn't seem stargate, but Its just a trailer so I guess I should wait for the premier. The direction style seems different though, and the set design, me thinks someone was heavily influenced by the battlestar galactica remake.
I guess I trust the developers though, as long as they have the same writers the dialouge should be as punchy as ever. I guess im just pissed off that they canned Atlantis...
this will probably be good though

Lol nice, saw this in the paper today, not toooootally excited yet. Give me time, I guess.
Anyway, the Arrested Development drinking game rules over the Stargate one, from my experience. (flame-war on?)

i saw the first episode of this the other day and forgot to post about it here because i totally forgot this thread existed. i have to say that i enjoyed it to the max. it also has jack, sam and daniel in the first episode as camios so it's working quite well. i can't wait for the next episode to come out
EDIT: i almost forgot. he's from happy gilmore. you'll get what i mean when you watch it.

I liked it. A bit slow, so I had complaints from everybody around me, but I told them to shut up and enjoyed it.
Although, it got me confused with dialing the ninth chevron as though they were on earth but they weren't and...
Brain dead.

Taped it and planning to watch it. Obviously looks as if some fans came up with the idea and the creators just thought what the hell sure.

I think that just proved the 'some fans came up with the idea and the creators just thought what the hell sure' idea.

Going on what I said earlier, they might've mixed up the gate address deliberately. I recall them doing the same sort of thing with the first Atlantis episode in order to see how many of the original stargate fans would email them and complain. Perhaps they're pulling the same trick this time round?

omg I'm watching this right now, its such a rip of battlestar galactica.
dont get me wrong, plot is different (I think) but since when did stargate have shakey cam? and the 'omg so sirius' music
this doesn't mean its bad, just means it isn't stargate any more ...
remember when they used to travel to different planets through the Stargate? that was so awesome

Lol, I only just noticed that in the last episode. I remember turning to my family and pointing that out but they didn't take it on board.

I had to stop watching it. It became so trivial about halfway, with these half arsed plotlines cropping up! I loved the original Stargates, but this one... Well, as stated before: "lts gt srs, k?"

i'm not currently watching it because i plan to maraphon it with a few friends after the whole first season is out. so far i've enjoyed it, but it's not as close to my <3 as SG-1. btw i think we need to have a mini social for all the SG-1 lovers and play drinking stargate. Here's the rules, Enjoy.

Wow. I think those rules encompass everything ever said or done in every SG.
Might as well just hook up an alcohol IV and be done with it. After all, having a pint glass permanently stuck to your face would make it difficult to watch the awesomeness that is Stargate.
