Yaaaay Home

Well, seems like home is finally out, or at least a public beta. Any thoughts on what its like good/bad or a huuuuge advertising rip off... you know just putting it out there.

lol I thought you wanted to go home. Ive not seen it yet but ive heard making the character look like yourself is easy enough and very detailed.

I'm not so excited after what Tycho from penny arcade had to say...

They guys of IGN game scoop said it's kind of pointless. Almost no one has a headset on the PS3 so communication in home is rare. Also becasue of all the extra loading screens it just takes longer to do that stuff you want to do anyway. I'm sure that it will be patched and made better but for now it seems like a poor mans second life.

ok i just downloaded this finally. first impressions: am i the only one who finds it kinda creepy? it reminds me of logan's run. everyone is young and they're all dressed the same. but apart from that it seems promising. i mean theres nothing to do there at the moment really, but once it gets going it could be a cool virtual lobby system and a good way to arrange people before a game or whatever. sony just needs to focus on getting that aspect going first. at the moment no one really seems to get the point of it. also add a decent array of free clothes and stuff so not everyone looks the same. and let people unlock game related clothing when they get trophies from the games? that would be nice.
