just stumbled upon this thread, sounds like a cool idea,
may need some thinking about to get it working.
I was thinking something like, split the social in 2, each designate 1 person to be the initial 'flag carrier' (which would be a band, scarf, handkercheif etc) each group move on to particular bars (after a drink each in the starting bar) where they will search for the opposing flag carrier.
Aim: Find the enemy flag carrier, drink them to the ground, steal flag, get it home, win, celebrate.
The rules,
# each team cannot split up into more than 2 parties, a searching party and carrier party.
# to capture a flag, a team must find the other flag and challenge the carrier to a challenge (this could be like the godlike challenge, or a fastest down-time, or a non-drinking challenge of some sort) the winner wins the flag, this flag has to meet up with their own flag at the original bar to score a point.
# if a challenge is declined the flag is forfeited (remember someone else can substitute in the challenge)
# no party may leave a bar without at least 3 drinks being purchased and consumed (by the party as a whole).
# If a player has just completed a challenge, they may not challenge, or be challenged, until another bar is reached, though a member of the party may substitue, also the flag must be handed over to another player once the challenge has ended.
# If a challenge somehow results in a tie, the challenging team can select another person to challenge a person other than the carrier for possesion of the flag (so no 2 people challenge twice in a row)
# Highest score once the night ends or everyone passes out wins
# Only certain specified bars/clubs allowed, these should be friendly places where players wont get assaulted by civillians.
# Camping will result in point deduction and banhammer without warning
The way I see it going is so that you dont have to challenge if you aren't in the best shape to
so you can just tag along and watch the fun unfold
BTW, use of technology (in any inventive way you please) is encouraged to help communication between parties for the searching of the flags
Bonus idea: make the starting positions unknown to the other team, non-flag carriers can challenge other non-flag carriers for information on where they are, so that chasing down a captured flag is easier. (This may be too complex for the game considering the amount of alco-lol involved)
plus teams should be even ^^ known low-tolerance drinkers on the same team would be unfair despite the inclusion of non-drinking challenges ^^
It should be a fun game not a serious I CAN DRINK MOAR THAN UUUUU game.
What do you think? may need a bit of altering, but I think its do-able
EDIT: Also, if a FC challenges a FC, the winner gets an intant-point and the flags go to different people, moar chasing ensues.
