| Yay! I shall lurk here from now on. Anyway, we probably need a topic. So, favourite retro games? For the sake of this thread, let's call retro anything pre-PS2/Xbox/Gamecube era, as that seems to be the accepted meaning on the interweb these days. | |

| It's a shame that there's no decently working SNES emulator for the DS yet. | |

I've seen loads, yeah, and tried loads. They're just not all that good. Mostly layering issues, some speed issues, some input issues, and not whole games have been tested, so you could get 3/4 of the way through a title and have it be uncontinuable. I'm willing to wait, and I'll have Chrono Trigger DS and Super Star Ultra to entertain me in the mean-time.

| Have you ever seen a handheld called the "Game Park"? Its a handheld that is made for running emulators like snes, nes, megadrive etc. Perhaps a worthy investment over a DS plug in. | |

Yeah, I was considering a GP2X before I got a DS, but they're always out of stock. Perhaps later, if I'm suddenly desperate, but for now, PC emulators are just as good. I've got enough DS games (along with GBA games and a working GB/GBC emulator) to serve me for handheld for sometime.

| I'm a big retro gaming fan (I collect Retro Gamer magazine and I have a Mega Drive). The debate as to what is retro will continue on forever, but for me anything up to 5th gen. | |

I developed a twitch in my left eye from playing Tetris DX far too often. I'm gutted the DS doesn't have a GB port, I've lost all my data. X(
