The Podcast

So maybe you've seen the new website? I f you have you will have noticed that Jay, Tom and myself will be hosting the GAME INVADER PODCAST! I just wanted to know if any of you guys are actually gonna listen to this and also if anyone has any questions that they would like answered on the podcast. It doesn't have to be a question about the soc, it could be about us or a question about the video game industry, we will do our best to answer them.

Maybe we like replying! Yeah any topics or questions you want answered would be good. Post em or tell us if you want to know more about, and our thoughts on things etc ( coz you know they're IMPORTANT! ) Can't wait for this.

I'd just like to mention on the Gamer Soc website there is a links page, there is list of some really funny and informative podcasts on there that are really worth listening to, especially IGN Game Scoop.

...what with me calling you a fag in the first miniute. we learnt many things from our first pod cast so keep staying tuned as they're only going to get better.

I've finally gotten round to listening to the podcasts. Late to the party as always

The discussion is interesting, I don't find myself switching off. However your audio levels are horrendous. Some people are so loud they are distorting the sound, others are to quiet in comparison. http://www.conversationsnetwork.org/levelator has a tool called The Levelator which does a good job of balancing the audio levels, and it's free to boot.

I like the podcasts, I find the banter amusing and the discussions informative. But most importantly I think Its a great way for the head honchos to keep in touch with the comunity thats brewing here and keep everyone informed of gamer soc developments. I mean sure thats what the news page is for but I do appreciate that human touch the podcast brings.

My only suggestion would be to perhaps make the podcast a bit more structured, would I be right in assuming that 10 mins before the show you scrawl on a peice of paper stuff your probably going to talk about and wing it from there? (lol sorry if im wrong) . Perhaps you could have regular segments: news section, game reveiws, email Q and A , discuss a hot topic, maybe each of you award a game your game/turd of the month, I dunno i'm just spewing ideas out here.

Yeah, thanks for the input, obviously as these are quite new they will become more structred with time. And as you suggested, a general structure is starting to take place with general sections, as you say, Game of the month or something. Nice to hear you're listening tho.
